Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan claimed
that brand Madhya Pradesh has been established in the world. He was talking to media persons here on Saturday after returning from the USA.
Chouhan said, “Important proposals of investment in Madhya Pradesh and social sectors have been received during the recent USA visit. Due to last ten years efforts of the State Government now brand Madhya Pradesh has been established among the developed States of the country. The foreign companies are now eager to invest in the State.”
Chouhan further said that the industrial atmosphere of the State, ease of doing business, best infrastructure like land, water, power, rail, road and air connectivity besides industrial peace and better law and order are the reasons that the foreign companies are giving priority to the State for investment.
He said that the visit succeeded in its aim beyond expectations. More and more efforts of increasing employment opportunities were made during this visit. MoU with IT companies have been signed in that investment of more than 1000 crore would be done besides employment to over 10,000 persons would be provided. One-to-one discussions with 25 companies were held while 100 companies participated in the investment convention, he added.
The Chief Minister said that the companies were invited for investment and GIS in the State by informing them about the investment opportunities, State’s industrial policies, ease of doing business and system to take immediate decision. Over 200 representatives of industrial groups would participate in GIS 2016, he added.
During the five-day visit an investor convention was held under the joint aegis of Trifac and USIBC in that about 150 representatives of 100 US companies participated.
Earlier on his return from the five-day USA visit Chief Minister Shivarj Singh Chouhan was given warm welcome at the airport. Minister for Commerce and Industry Rajendra Shukla accompanied him. He reached Delhi on Sept 3 noon after America tour from August 28 to September 2. Chouhan was warmly welcomed by the Revenue Minister Jayant Malaiyya, Forest Minister Gourishankar Shejwar, Women and child Development Minister Archana Chitnis, PWD Minister i Rampal Singh, Home and Transport Minister Bhupendra Singh, Urban Administration and Development Minister Maya Singh, Revenue Minister Umashankar Gupta, Health Minister Rustom Singh, Higher Education Minister Jaibhan Singh Pawaiyya, Minister of state for Narmada Valley Development and General Administration Lal Singh Arya, Minister of State for Micro and Small Industry Sanjay Pathak, Minister of State for Horticulture
