USA : Marywood Univ faculty appeal denial for union vote

In May, the regional director of the NLRB denied the group’s request for a union vote, which faculty members have said would demonstrate desire to unionize.
On July 27, the Pennsylvania State Education Association, affiliated with the faculty, filed a request for review with the NLRB. A decision could be made this fall, according to a release sent this week by PSEA.
“We believe that a wrong decision was made by the NLRB regional director ... the faculty wants more of a united voice on the campus to help improve Marywood University,” said Paul Shemansky, the PSEA spokesman.
